SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

By the grace of Allah, we are pleased to announce our first ever summer internship program for both high school and college students, and anyone who would like to lend their talents to the cause of the Ahlulbayt (a). 

Interested applicants should apply no later than June 30th to be considered. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please note that the internship is Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm. Start date is flexible according to applicant’s availability, but the earliest start date is June 17th.

Areas of support needed:

Marketing
Support the marketing team at Kisa Kids!
– flyer/infographic design
– drafting posts for social media
– creating mailchimp emails
– boosting our following on all our platforms
– providing general operational support

 

 

 

Networking/Outreach
Help us make connections with centers across the United States.
– reaching out to masjids/centers via phone, email, personal connections
– documenting their current needs
– determining how Kisa Kids can support them
– researching Sunday Schools already using our curriculum/resources
– maintaining our networking database
– providing general operational support 

 

 

Library Campaign
Help us get our books into libraries across the United States!
– researching individual library/county processes on how to get new books into circulation
– reaching out to libraries to initiate the process
– recruiting community members for support
– visiting libraries, requesting Kisa Kids books, regularly checking them out
– maintaining library/community member database
– providing general operational support 

Grant Writing
Help us find and write grants for future funding
– researching eligible grants for Kisa Kids
– drafting applications
– providing general operational support
* must have strong reading and writing comprehension skills

 

 

 

Content Development
Contribute to Kisa Kids with your writing, art, or graphic design skills!
– bringing one of your storybook ideas to life at Kisa Kids (please note that content will be developed through staff guidance and reviewal)
– assisting with editing content
– helping with layout or graphic design
– helping with creating visual art
– learning new skills, like Adobe Creative Cloud applications
– providing general operational support
